Must submit by June 1st, 2010. Presigious film festival looking for scripts in one of the two categories:
Adult/Family or Comedy
Also- Latitude Productions (Adult character driven with production budget under 10 million dollars) To be considered for this award you must have your screenplay entered in either the Adult/Family or Comedy Category. Entry fee is an additional $20.
Sci-Fi Award (Sci-Fi includes: fantasy, horror, science fiction, surrealism, myth/legend and fantastical storytelling). To be considered for this award you must have your screenplay entered in either the Adult/Family or Comedy Category. Entry fee is an additional $20.
The Adult/Family Winner Receives: $5,000 cash; reimbursement of roundtrip airfare (up to $500, excluding frequent flyer miles); hotel reimbursement at the Film Festival (up to $500); and the AFF bronze typewriter award
The Comedy Winner Receives: $5,000 cash; reimbursement of roundtrip airfare (up to $500, excluding frequent flyer miles); hotel reimbursement at the Film Festival (up to $500); and the AFF bronze typewriter award
RULES: Only the TITLE of the screenplay should appear on the front stock cover (legibly written or typed). A second title page with all contact information (TITLE, AUTHOR, AUTHOR'S ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, E-MAIL ADDRESS, and a TWO- OR THREE-SENTENCE SYNOPSIS) should be included but kept separate from the script. The author's name must not appear elsewhere in the script to preserve anonymity in judging process.
If you are entering your script into both Comedy and Drama categories please include two copies of your script.
The Competition is only open to writers who do not earn a living writing for television or film.
