| Oregon Literary Fellowships | Updated October 16th, 2008 |

Oregon Literary Fellowships are intended to help Oregon writers initiate, develop or complete literary projects in poetry, fiction, literary nonfiction, drama and young readers literature. Writers in the early stages of their career are encouraged to apply. The awards are merit-based, and the minimum award amount is $2,500. Must be a resident of Oregon. Recipients must be current, full-time Oregon residents, both at the time of application and at receipt of award. Those who have received an Oregon Literary Fellowship in the last five years, or have won an Oregon Book Award in the previous year, are ineligible. Those who have received an aggregate of $10,000 or more in literary grants in the last three years are ineligible (scholarships and teaching fellowships are not considered “literary grants”). One application per person per year will be accepted. Female applicants may choose to be considered for the Women Writers Fellowship (addendum to application required). These applicants may receive one or the other, but not both fellowships. For writers fellowships, work authored by more than one person is ineligible. Literary Arts staff, trustees or advisory committee members are precluded from consideration; however, if a trustee or advisory committee member takes a leave of absence, from the day an application is submitted until the January announcement, the application is eligible. Please include the following items in your fellowship application (collated; see below): • Two copies of the Fellowship to Writers application form. • Two copies of Women Writers Fellowship addendum (optional). • Two copies of a sample of work copies of a sample of work consisting of one of the following: • 15 typed pages of poetry, no more than one poem per page, or one narrative poem or section thereof not to exceed 15 pages in length. • Not more than 25 typed, double-spaced pages (12-point text) of prose. • SASE for acknowledgment of receipt of the application (optional). send: see details specifically: Children's and YA |

CTFA is concerned solely with theatre for children and youth; the utilization of drama or theatre in education for children grades K-12; development opportunities for theatre artists working in the area of theatre for children and youth. Only one grant proposal per year may be submitted to the Foundation by an applicant. Most grant projects are for one year, however exceptional projects extending up to two years may be considered when included in the original grant submission. FOUNDERS GRANT: Founders Grants have, in more than forty years, supported diverse projects of national significance including national and international theatre festivals; research in theatre education and theatre practice; publications; U.S.A. representation abroad in theatre festivals and symposiums; scholarships, playwriting and other work of theatre artists and scholars. Each grant application must give information to address the review criteria regarding - the quality of your work; - the feasibility for the project to be accomplished; - the significance of your project to the field (locally; nationally) - the relevance of the CTFA grant funds to the outcome of the project. Each grant application must be accompanied by a completed CTFA GRANT APPLICATION SUMMARY SHEET and the requested documentation to support the information listed. CTFA, Children's Theater Foundation of America, is concerned solely with theatre for children and youth; the utilization of drama or theatre in education for children grades K-12; development opportunities for theatre artists working in the area of theatre for children and youth. Only one grant proposal per year may be submitted to the Foundation by an applicant. Most grant projects are for one year, however exceptional projects extending up to two years may be considered when included in the original grant submission. Aurand Harris Fellowships are designed to assist an individual theatre artist with a specific project or with undertaking and completing a specific plan for the development of his/her own artistic excellence relating to practicing in the field of theatre for children. Each grant application must give information to address the review criteria regarding - the quality of your work; - the feasibility for the project to be accomplished; - the significance of your project to the field (locally; nationally) - the relevance of the CTFA grant funds to the outcome of the project.
