Grants of up to $1,500 to poets, fiction and nonfiction writers, visual artists, and for a mixed-genre category (illustration and text) to feminist women in the arts. Application fee is $20. Two application deadlines each year: December 31 (art and fiction) and June 30 (nonfiction and poetry). Fund does not maintain email, phone, or website.

Submit three copies of a manuscript of up to 25 pages, a project description, and a resumé with a $20 entry fee during the month of June.

You are encouraged to apply if you are a woman or trans artist who:
- Has an art for social change project or opportunity that impacts a larger group, audience, or community.
- Has financial need and limited or no access to other financial resources.
- Has a project supported by or in collaboration with a Change Partner (a person, organization, or business that is a part of the project in some way).
- Lives in the Delaware Valley area: Bucks, Camden, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia County.

The 2008 Antioch Writers’ Workshop will award the Betty Crumrine Scholarship to a single parent who is committed to writing and who could not otherwise attend the workshop.

This scholarship is for a week-long conference of intensive study and an honorary seat at the banquet opening night. Room, board, and transportation are not provided. The workshop, however will help the scholarship recipient to find a village host for minimal cost ($150/week). This contest is a national one; anyone from anywhere may apply.

Submission Requirements for Poets:
Submit four sets of the same ten pages of poetry, printed on one side of 8.5" x 11" white paper, single or double-spaced, in 12 point Times New Roman font, with margins of at least 1" on all sides. Contact information should appear in the upper lefthand corner of the first page, with the author's last name at the top of every subsequent page.

Please send your poetry submission, conforming to the requirements detailed above and a self-addressed stamped envelope, along with a bio of yourself (not longer than a page).
