Be sure to direct your essay to a general humanities audience, avoiding specialist jargon. Translations are encouraged, but please include the original AND written permission from the copyright holder for you to publish a translation. Silenced Press is an independent online literary journal based out of Columbus, Ohio dedicated to giving a voice to artists that must be heard and highlighting writers from Ohio. They exist to support Ohio and to support art. The literary journal is ad-free with an aesthetic design to showcase the finest work possible. Send one non-fiction article in an e-mail (this could be creative non-fiction, essay or travel-writing; it just has to be good). Be sure to specify that it is a non-fiction submission in the subject line. No minimum word count, but a maximum of 10,000 words.
